(Letter to PCMC Commissioner)

This is to bring to your notice that despite detection of two positive COVID-19 cases, the residents of Kasarwadi are not taking the risk to their lives seriously.

Every day I notice that people, including adults and youngsters, are indulging in group chatting on roads and gullies without keeping any distance. Small kids seen playing together and brushing against each other. Some people are wearing masks, others have to be told about the need to wear masks. Whether in residential socieites, slums or chawls, situation is similar.

It seems residents of Kasarwadi do not understand the meaning of “social distancing” Therefore, they are not keeping distancing from each other. I am not sure whether they are also washing their hands with soaps for 20 seconds.

I therefore request you to start door to door campaign to explain to the residents the need for social distancing and compulsorily wearing of masks.

Even after PCMC campaign, people do not understand, then PCMC should request the police to do their jobs.

Please take all steps necessary to contain the spread of ailment in Kasarwadi area. These appeal is being made as a concerned citizen of Kasarwadi and on behalf of several other concerned citizen of Kasarwadi.
