ICAI National President CA Aniket Talathi advises in an interactive meet organized by ICAI Pune branch
Pune, 2 (PCB) : “The Indian economy is reaching around 3.5 trillion this year while ICAI, the institute grooming CA’s is entering its 75th year. The economy is projected to reach at 35 trillion when ICAI will touch the centenary mark. We need to plan assessing the required numbers of CA’s and quality of profession in advance. We at the central council of ICAI are striving hard in this direction,” said CA Aniket Talathi, National President of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
He was addressing the CA fraternity gathered in the interactive meet organized at the ICAI Bhavan, Bibvewadi by ICAI Pune Branch. Central Council Member CA Chandrashekhar Chitale, President of ICAI Pune Branch CA Rajesh Agrawal, Vice-President CA Amruta Kulkarni, Secretary CA Ajinkya Randive, Treasurer CA Hrishikesh Badwe, Executive Committee members CA Kashinath Pathare, CA Sachin Miniar, CA Pranav Apte, CA Pritesh Munot were present at the occasion, stated a press release.
While briefing about the proposed new curriculum for CA, Talathi said, “The profession of CA is not confined to accounting and auditing. It has expanded with time. To cope up with this expansion one needs to acquire various new laws, technologies like SAP, ERP, AI, Blockchain. Hence we are installing a ‘self paced model’ of curriculum. We have enabled our various services digitally to get quick and handy solutions for issues. Now a student can get an enrollment certificate on the same day of passing the CA exam.”
“It is a sign of expansion of the institute that members from various cities like Bhopal, Aurangabad, Baroda are securing seats in the central council. We need to acquire online, digital and international standards to enable ourselves for the expansion.” said CA Talathi.
CA Chandrashekhar Chitale shared his experience of the world congress. The world congress has changed the outlook of the globe in respect of ICAI. The Singapore Association of Chartered Accountants relaxing the conditions for practicing in Singapore is a positive gesture in this regard.
CA Rajesh Agrawal gave the welcome address. CA Ajinkya Randive in his introductory remarks shared the basic information and the proud moment of reaching the mark of 10,000 members.
