Mumbai, Date – 04/07/2023 (PCB) – Dilip Walse-Patil, six-time MLA from Ambegaon assembly constituency of Pune, has become the minister in the Shinde-Fadnavis government. He is part of the Ajit Pawar camp.
Walse-Patil was once Sharad Pawar’s personal secretary. He has been with the NCP since it was formed in 1999.
His defection to Ajit Pawar camp has come a rude jolt to party rank and file. Walse-Patil has been an untained leader, not facing any probes.
Walse-Patil’s decision to break away from his mentor was, therefore, a big surprise for everyone.
